Lincoln’s streets were burning alive
Young Bobby looked to get out from under
Sit behind the wheel and raise some thunder

Driving tractor is way too slow
He wanted more get-up-and-go
Three more years too long to wait
He said, “I need 5 gears before it’s too late”

V8 Ford gleaming in the sun
Bobby said, “Hey, I’ll take her for a run”
Gas pedal clutch and five to drive
Tearin’ it up under big blue skies

Never used the brakes on any turn
Fishtail worked just fine to burn them
Tires up and down the street
